Vintage Monday

Well my fridays have been fantastic lately,

after shopping several estate sales early on Friday mornings.

I picked up these items this last Friday at a fantastic estate sale.

I have had a little success lately selling vintage items and

I am all ready to sell these very soon at this market.

This is just a peek of what we have been buying. There are so many more wonderful items.
I love this old thermos, still wearing an Estate Sale price tag.

I am not so sure that I can part with these lovely mint green rooster cannisters.

Shall I keep them, or sell them? What to do?

Hope you have a fabulous Monday!

I grew up in Nebraska and appreciate a little bit of the country life. I just bought a pair of grey cowboy boots at the goodwill a few weeks ago. They are fabulous...!

oh and I do believe I will be wearing my grey cowboy boots that day!
Hope you have a great rest of the week!

{here comes fall}

Fall is my favorite season.
I love the colors: golds, greens, oranges, yellows and blues.
The tastes: Fruit crisps, carmel,
soup and a warm latte.
The wardrobe: boots, sweaters, and scarves.
Below are a few things that make me think of autumn. Enjoy!

these wreaths are fantastic! My sister and I spent on evening on the phone together going thru them and oohing and awing. take a peek!
this design of mine is one of my favorites. Printed on golden yellow cardstock,
they are perfect for fall!
this bakery and candy shop in San Fran will be the first place I visit the next time
I am in the city. They also ship some of their products too!
Doesn't this salted carmel look delish?
such a pretty mix of colors. This would look perfect in my red hair, I do declare!
a fabulous etsy shop with super fair prices. You must pay Meg a visit!

What is your favorite thing about fall?

I know I am not the only one who favors this seaon!

{Friday in Maine}

hello and happy friday to you! In my last post, I shared with you that my sister and her family went to Maine recently and I shared some of her lovely photos with you...
I am back for part 2 of the Maine trip and today I have some more beautiful photos to share with you .
Above is the inn that her and her family stayed at. Isn't is beautiful? This photo is from their website, the link is below.
{chebeague island inn}{a clever "do knot disturb" sign at the inn}
My nieces read Nancy Drew books on the sofas in the lobby by the fire.
The staff was very friendly and the inn was full of beautiful antiques.
Sounds charming, doesn't it?
My niece Colette watched this painter paint
and was able to ask him many questions about his work.
She is a budding and very talented little artist so this was very fun for her.
My Darling nieces and Nephew: Colette is the oldest, Elle is the second oldest
and then there are the sweet twins Sophia and Nick.
The dog is from the inn and made fast friends with the kids.
Don't they look like they all belong together?
{the kids walking down to the beach}
I love this picture.
Wish I was heading there this weekend!
Alas I am still in Denver and the title of this post is only wishful thinking.
Did you take any fabulous trips this summer?
Or do you only wish you had taken a fabulous trip
and hope to take one next summer?
Do tell!

{one morning in maine}

Recently, my sister and her family spent 10 days in Maine.
I loved some of the photos that she took and am excited to share them with you.
My nieces and nephew collected these various shells and stacked them
on an old door that they found on the beach.
white shells on a white painted floor
at the inn where they stayed.
Aren't they pretty? wouldn't you like to spend a morning in Maine with this beautiful view?
My sister Kim mentioned the book One Morning in Maine by Robert McCloskey. This book is by the same author of the beloved books Make Way For Ducklings and Blueberries for Sal.
Even if you don't have a child in your life, find an excuse to go to a bookstore and pick up some great childrens literature by this author.

Stop back later this week for some more moments in Maine!

{oh so sweet}

could this cake bunting from Kikilaru
be any sweeter?
super pretty, delicate,
...makes me want to throw a party, stat!!!
Happy Weekend!

{circus font note cards}

happy tuesday. I thought I would post this pretty picture from our little summer boutique show that we had last week. The show was circus inspired. Since I love a circus font, I had to make a few circus font note cards to sell. I mixed up some sweet words with pretty colors to create these.

Using words like Lovely, Wish, Love, Birthday Girl, Baby,
and of course the standard Thank you, and Miss You....

With my favorite colors, Aqua, Gray, Yellow, Pink, Cream and Black...

I think they make a dreamy combination.

Which is your favorite?

{a lovely Sunday afternoon}

we had a lovely summer show on Sunday with a little circus/carnival theme.
Since I didn't take any pictures I am going to send you over to Emily's blog to take a look. I think this the best show yet. Look at these darling refreshments!
We had pink and white iced animal cookies, chocolate and sprinkle dipped strawberries and sweet and salty popcorn served in striped popcorn bags.
Don't you wish you could have joined us? Go here for more.

{a little note}

Dear Friend,

Its been a while since I have written. Recently, I had family in town which was wonderful. Just yesterday, we had a fabulous trunk show with two other creative women where I sold note cards and lots of vintage items. I have been enjoying time with friends and my beau.

I hope this note finds you well!
Happy August!
