(Vintage Post: Day 3: A Chair, A Mirror & A Drawer}

{it's Vintage Finds Week at kara rosenberry co. and here are some more of my favorite finds}
My sister spotted this chair in much worse condition at a antique store {second chance} in Nebraska. She worked for Expressions Furniture at the time and had the brillant idea to cover this chair in this lovely fabric. I LOVE her vision. She has the best ideas. I have had this chair now for at least 10 years and it will be in my home for many more years.
the drawer sitting behind my lovely chair is from a denver Paris Style Flea Market {Sweet William Market} and I got it for a steal! {$4} It use it for every show I do as it makes a great display item for my cards.
another find with my sister. An antique mirror that I covered with French Stationary
by using a little modge podge.
The images are from classic French Letterhead. My favorite image is of this lady surrounded by beautiful French text. J'dore!

{Vintage Post: Day 2: Grandmother's Garden & more}

{a grandmother's garden quilt- made by my Grandmother, treasured by me}
I love all the fabric in this quilt. It is my second Grandmother's Garden Quilt from my grandmother. I have another one that isn't pictured, that has fabric from my Grandmother, my mother, my sister and me. My Grandmother started it when she was expecting my mother, and finished it 50 some years later, for me.
{vintage thread, I just love the old spools.}
oh and the yesterday I spent the afternoon with dear friend, Emily of Fern and Flora and she helped me take some photos of my new products. We had so much fun and we took lots of lovely pictures. I will be adding them to my etsy, little by little.
for now, these are new in the Etsy Shop. Cowgirl Note Cards! Ye-Haw!
come back tomorrow for more vintage favorites!

{vintage post day 1: pink & grey}

This week I am posting about some of my favorite vintage finds. To kick things off, I am starting with one of my most recent finds. I adore the colors on this salt shaker, pink and grey. I think it would make a very sweet little vase or that it looks pretty sweet just as it is.

I got this at an estate sale here in Denver. There was no pepper shaker but that was just fine with me. The milk glass vase behind the salt shaker was also an estate sale find. More to come tomorrow!

Hope everyone is having a lovely Monday.

{a little bit of vintage}

This next week I will be sharing with you a few of my favorite vintage items. Some are pieces from my family and some are pieces I have found here and there. I have a deep love for old worn things.

Maybe it was from growing up in Nebraska, visiting my grandma's farm and taking home things here and there. Maybe from my sister who taught me how to spot a chair at an antique store that is perfect for reupholstering, or how to put things together perfectly in a room.
I also remember many years my dad would gift my mom with antiques for Christmas. My dad even had an antique booth called The Wild Rose at a Nebraska Antique mall. {by the way, Nebraska is a great place to get antiques} I used to draw roses on little tags for him to mark his prices.
So I think it is fair to say there has been a lot of love of vintage, old things , and antiques handed down to me.

So enjoy my vintage favorites posts this week and have a great rest of your weekend!
